1. Our institute name is LIS (Language international school)
2. It is located in the heart of the city opposite to gurudwara Dukhniwaran sahib, Patiala.
3. I was aware of the record of this institute. Most of the students, after doing this course from this institute, got job placement in India as well as abroad. The method of teaching in this institute was excellent, and the staff was very cooperative and knowledgeable.
4. Our institute was giving both types of practical and theoretical training. Our teachers used to provide us with lectures and notes and give us detailed sessions on different subjects. Along with this, we were doing case studies, group discussions, and group presentations. In practical training, our teachers used to divide us into groups and gave us different situations that are very helpful in gaining practical knowledge. We are also taking practical classes, which include housekeeping /cooking, how to use modern appliances, basic knowledge of first aid, and how to maintain hygiene.
5. The method of teaching was excellent in our institute. We were giving both practical as well as theoretical training. In theoretical training, our teachers used to provide us with lectures and notes. We did case studies, group discussions, and group presentation. In the case of practical training, we went to the childcare center to take care of children.
6. Practical training is equal to work experience. In practical training we went to different centers we talk with children, take care of children, older people and disabled people.
7. If the child falls from the stairs, first will observe the condition of the child. If the child has breathing and circulation problem, then I will provide him/her CPR. If the child is unconscious, then I will dial the emergency number for an ambulance. If there is any fracture involved, then I will move the child very carefully. In case of a minor cut or wound, I will provide him/her first aid. In case of severe bleeding, I will try to stop it by applying pressure with a gauze pad. I will also inform the parents.
8. If something gets stuck in a child’s throat, then firstly, I will make the child bend forward and give back blons in between the shoulders of the child so that the thing comes out. If the item does not come out, then again, I will repeat the process. If the condition is serious and the child is feeling breathless, then I will call on the emergency number and ask for an ambulance. I will not leave the child to inform parents.
9. Before bathing a small child, I will give massage to him with baby oil. I will make him sit in the bathtub comfortably. I will also adjust to the temperature of water according to the weather. I will apply baby soap and mild shampoo while holding the child with the other hand. After giving a bath, I will gently wipe the child’s body with a soft towel.
10. If the child is complaining of stomach ache, then I will take an appointment from the child specialist doctor and will take the child for treatment. If pain severe, then I will call for an ambulance and inform the parents.
11. I will try to divert the attention. I will try to keep him busy with his favorite things. If the child is stubborn and he wants to go outside, then I will discuss it with his parents. And if my employer permits me, then I will dress up the child in warm clothes according to the weather and take him/ her outside with me.
