For almost three decades IELTS (The International English Language Testing System) has only English proficiency test which has been a paper-based English test. Students taking the test had the choice of 50 test locations, 48 test days per year, for both, the Academic and General Training test formats. But with computer-delivered IELTS there are more test dates available, test takers can choose IELTS at a time convenient for them, and they will receive their results in 5 to 7 days

Choosing to take computer-delivered IELTS, student will take the Listening, Reading and Writing test using a computer. All aspects of the test are identical to paper-based IELTS, including

 Question types, Content, Timings, Marking

  • In the computer-delivered Listening test, the timings are slightly different from the paper-based test. Because of the reason that the paper-based test requires users to transfer answers to an answer sheet. This step becomes redundant when answering directly on a computer.
  • Before each part starts,the Listening test you will have some time to read the questions.
  • After the end of each part of the Listening test you will have some time to review your answers.
  • At the end of the Listening test, you will have 2 minutes to check your answers.
    The timing of the Listening test is between 30 – 34 minutes.
  • We can match & evaluate your correct level of English

  • We can repeat and rephrase questions for you which make it more convenient
  • There is no time bounding & we can evaluate by hearing your accent

NOTE: The Test Report Form, content, timing and structure of the test is the same whether you take the test on paper or on computer and the Speaking test is always face-to-face with a certified IELTS Examiner.

The IELTS Speaking test remains the same as face-to-face, in a quiet room, with a real, human examiner. We believe a face-to-face Speaking test is the most effective way of assessing your speaking skills and prompts a more lifelike performance.

The test format totally remains the same. The questioning pattern, format, level of difficulty and scoring remains the same as paper-based IELTS. Just that students will be taking Listening, Reading, and Writing test on a computer. The Speaking test will continue to be taken face-to-face by a certified IELTS examiner in a quiet room.

In the computer-delivered Listening test, the timings are slightly different from the paper-based test.

  • You are given some time to read your questions before you start any part of the Listening test
  • You have two minutes to review your answers after finishing the Listening test
  • Duration of the Listening test is approx. 30 – 36 minutes.

CD- IELTS is now available across seven cities in India. It will be held on selected days, and registration is subject to availability of slots. Its fee structure is INR 13,300.You get an option of taking still paper-based format IELTS, if you prefer.
CD –IELTS aims only making it convenient & easy for you. If you opt for the computer-delivered IELTS test, you will take the Listening, Reading and Writing components using a desktop computer. All aspects of the test are identical to the paper-based IELTS test, including: CD- Speaking Test.
